Wedding cake booking process
First things first
Get in touch and tell me when and where you’re getting married and how many guests you hope to invite. I’ll check my availability, and then we can get down to the fun part, discussing your cake ideas…
A date in the diary
If you’d like to secure your date in my diary, a £150 booking fee is all that’s needed. (This will be deducted from the final price of your cake). This will reserve your date and then you can relax until we meet for you consultation and cake tasting.
The fun part - consultation and cake tasting
Around six months before your wedding date, we’ll arrange a consultation at my home studio, where we’ll work together to create your dream cake. You can bring along colour swatches, flower inspiration photos, invites or anything you would like to tie into your design. I can give you lots of ideas and show you different size options. I’ll also have your cake sample box, filled with five delicious flavours of your choice, ready for you. You can either sample the cake at your consultation with a tea or coffee or if you prefer, take home and enjoy.
Design sketches and final details
Following your consultation, I will sketch several design ideas along with price options. Once you have decided on the design for you I will send your final proposal detailing your design, portions, delivery details and price.
