Hi, I’m Leanne - owner, designer and baker here at Cakes by Leanne. My cake journey began when I started making birthday cakes for my two children. Having always been interested in art and design, I loved the challenge of creating their favourite characters out of sugar, and adored seeing their delighted faces when they saw their special birthday cakes, created just for them. I soon became slightly obsessed with finding out everything there was to know about cake decorating. I invested in classes to enhance my skills and sugar work, and as my business grew, I developed a passion for flawless, elegant wedding cakes, and beautifully handmade sugar flowers. I love to sketch out new wedding cake designs, and I’m constantly researching the latest trends and styles to ensure your wedding cake will be unique, and will look as good as it tastes. For me, this is more than just a job, and I can’t wait to start creating your dream cake.
